OCEAN BEACH
MID-CENTURY MARVELOUS
One Bunk Beach puts the mid-century modern aesthetic on loving display. Built in 1964 by architect Loch Crane, a protégé of the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, this “post and beam”-style home maintains 95 percent of its original mix of classic materials: smoked glass, redwood, travertine and volcanic rock. Hand-picked pieces throughout the three-bedroom property – from vintage chandeliers to vibrant sculptures – impress and excite our guests, who appreciate eclectic art and admire post-war design and craftsmanship. You might not want to leave this Ocean Beach residence, but you should. The Pacific Ocean is only 20 feet away. Get to know her and celebrate her, as well as the iconic “O.B.” community, a laid-back “village” of sorts, that’s worth exploring.

OB
The community of Ocean Beach was once a haven of ‘60s “hippiedom” and political activism. Today, that independent, bohemian spirit is carried forward (with modern twists, of course) by local artists, restaurateurs and entrepreneurs.
